Chocolate Peanut Butter
(These turned out a lot more like brownies than what I expected)

And now I’m going to try to get in as much being-lazy time as is humanly possible. ;) And cast on some Monkey socks in birthday celebration

If YOU could cast on anything you want today, what would that be? (pretend time, money and ambition are no object.)

If we are excluding climate, I would cast on for the Alice Starmore Na Craga. Sadly, here in Northern CA, I’d hardly ever wear it ;-(

  2. Happy Birthday!

My “wish I had the time and moola” knitting would be St. Brigid. That is, to me, the perfect sweater.

The “Princess Shawl” from Heirloom Knitting — that pattern is only released every 5 years! I’d knit with something truly decadent, like cobweb cashmere, too, of course.

Happy Birthday! I’m sure you’ll find plenty of happy volunteers to help you with those cupcakes : )

  4. Those cupcakes look absolutely sinful! enjoy, heartily! ;)

  5. Starmore’s Glen Albyn, the cropped version. Oh so pretty.

  6. Hey, may i use your pictures of the cranberry white chocolate cupcakes on my site, the picture I use for it I took before Iknew how to work my camera, lol. Be more than happy to send the props your way. :)

  7. Ooh, that’s a tough question… Knowing me, I wouldn’t choose just one. But let’s see…
Perhaps “Lords and Ladies” from the latest Rowan magazine; a long sleeved cardigan in KSH. *sighs* That would be a rare luxury for sure..
Or the intricate fair isle cardigan from the Rowan Vintage Style book. It’s so pretty! One day, perhaps, when I learn the meaning of that word “patience”.
Or generally one of the many, many Rowan patterns that I covet so. Oh! Lorelei… THAT I’ve been wanting to make for ages!

Happy birthday. :) Those cupcakes look delicious! I hope you and your sister have a wonderful day!

  8. Happy birthday!

I think you know what I would cast on… stockinette socks. The guilt I would feel, though; the guilt.

    Happy Birthday!!

    Those look amazing!

I would cast on my Feather and Fan shawl.

  10. Happy Birthday for yesterday! Great cupcakes – naturally – I got made a raspberry and almond cake in the end – yum!

  11. Ooh and the pattern I would cast on is the Bayerische sock in some cashmere I shoudl think :)

  12. Happy Birthday!!

I would cast on anything designed by Kaffe Fassett. And I would use Rowan yarn, no substitutes. His stuff is just so fabulous I think I could endure entarsia to do it!

(Of course, the cost of such a project is what keeps me looking at the designs and never considering making one…)

  13. Happy birthday!! I hope you impressed friends and influenced people with your baking prowess:>

Cast-on? Charlotte’s Web! Or something else equally rich, colourful, soft, time-intensive, in some luxurious fibre that is totally impractical in a house with 3 children :P
