Wednesdays are for Coveting your Stash

Who else wants to cancel all their plans and to-do list and knit Noro socks instead? Come on, we’ll bake cookies and make a day of it.

No? Just me?

I’ll just be over here by the DPNs if anyone needs me.

Ooh yes please! Have you got any circulars there?

  2. Oh man, I think I need to pop over and just roll around in all that Noro goodness. Am I a bad stasher that I’ve not got a SINGLE skein of that stuff yet? But if I get any, I’ll have to ask one of the kids to give up their room… oh, the dilemmas of life!

  3. I would gladly join you. Nothing sounds better!

  4. Tamiko

Oooo me too. I would like nothing better. Of course I would be knitting a Noro striped scarf instead of socks.

Oh, damn – today’s a long teaching day, or else I’d join you. I did one pair with the Kuryeon (sp?) sock yarn, which I really didn’t like. The colors were wonderful, but the yarn itself was a bit stiff and didn’t soften up as much I would like when I washed the socks. But I hear the other Noro sock yarn is wonderful. And I love that bright, multi-colored skein!

I wish I could knit all day. Sounds so much better than staring at spreadsheets.

[sob!] I have to do laundry [wail] and vacuum [screech] or my family will revolt and leave!

    Wait…

  8. Unfortunately my to-do list includes one thing that I don’t want to can (meeting this evening for the Purple Purl library project) and one thing I can’t (paying work deadline breathing down my neck). Tomorrow? Maybe? At least I can knit at the meeting tonight!

  9. Gosh, I wish…. much better than going outside in the super cold.

By the Power of Greyskull!!! That is some seriously luscious stash!

If my teleporter or stargate were working I’d be over in 5 minutes… unfortunately they are not…

  11. YES. YES I WOULD LIKE.

  12. Martha

Yes please if only I could have wooooooooooooooeeeee. And I would tomorrow if I didn’t have applications to write.

I’m at work these days and am thinking there’s got to be a better way. All I want to do is knit. Forget this day job stuff. I’m there for knitting and cookies anyday. Oh wait, I’m on the other side of the country. Bummer. We could have a virtual knit in and cookie bake off!

  14. Ooo. That sounds divine. Much better than the week I have to put in… but how’s next week for you?

  15. Melissa

In the virtual world, I am THERE, bringing organic coffee, flowers and a pile of fashion mags for non-knitting knitting…

  16. I’d so be there and in fact, I’ll bring along the makings of Pearl(Purl)tinis for later :^)
What a gorgeous heap of yarn!

  17. Oh that sounds like a wonderful day. Now if only someone would take my children for a few hours, I might just be on board.

I’m buying the yarn tomorrow!!!! Now have to knit like hell to finish Bacchus sock, my condition for starting knee-length noro :)

  19. I. Must. Resist.

I need to knit two more pair of mittens…well, three actually…okay, okay, if we’re being that technical, three and a half pair.

Trust me, even though I am enjoying the mittens, I’m a sock knitter at heart and I’m just about ready to crack looking at your Noro!

    Nice stash! :-)

  21. Oh that would have beaten my Wednesday of doom hands down!

OMG, you read my mind! There are some silk garden socks on my needles right now, with another skein waiting in the wings.
