Baaaa.

Another year of Rhinebeck (New York Sheep and Wool Festival) has passed, and despite the fact that the amount of travel involved always leaves me feeling slightly run over, it was a great time. I saw knitterly friends, found some great yarn, and ate way too much food. (And I even finished the green cabled Ravine pullover, though it happened in the car on the ride back.) I’ve got lots of pictures on my camera to share with you from the weekend, and will have a nice post with them tomorrow. But first, since this evening is all about putting my feet up (I’ll at least hold my knitting, even if I don’t actually knit very much), I’ll show you some of the sheep.

I was woefully neglectful in noting the breeds of these lovely creatures, but gosh darn it they were nice sheep.

They are so adorable, and the best part is, they just keep giving and giving so we can keep knitting and knitting! Generous souls, sheep are.

  2. Has me wishing I had the spinning of the fleece of some of these beauties. Mind you it would take something pretty amazing to out do the BFL/Romney cross fleece I’m currently spinning. Dreaming…

…only sheep? No llamas or alpacas?

  4. Hee! I did see a few alpacas. I’m sure they’ll sneak into tomorrow’s photos. ;)

  6. Sheeps! I’m so jealous of your trip to Rhinebeck, where you got to commune with these majestic creatures :P

  7. Saturday was heaven. The warmest NYSW I can remember. It was pure joy looking at all the sheep, alpacas, etc. I can’t believe we have to wait a whole year for the next one. Love your pics.

What cute sheep! One of these years I’ll make it to Rhinebeck. Also, I recently received “The Lovely Blog Award,” and I have the opportunity to pass it on. I read your blog through my RSS reader. Here are the rules if you choose to accept: http://365daybook.wordpress.com/2012/10/22/chain-letter/
