Azalea (for the Sweet Sheep May 2010) [updated Feb 15/2011]
Instructions for “Twist 3 Right” (in Pattern Notes) should read as follows:
Twist 3 Right: Slip 1 st to cn and hold in back.
K2, p1 held on cn.
Instructions for the Cuff should be worked in 2.5mm needles, changing to 2.75mm for the Hand.
[Feb 15/2010] Set-up rows a and b from the chart are only worked once.
[May 8/2010] Instructions for Hand should read as follows (corrections in bold):
Change to 2.75mm/larger needle size. Rearrange stitches so that last 2 sts of round appear at beginning of round, and that the first 30 sts total appear on Needle 1. (Needle 1 begins and ends with p2, in this arrangement).
Next round: K1, p1, work Main Chart pattern (above), beginning on setup row a, over next 26 sts, p1, k1. K rem 22 sts, and increase 4 sts evenly across them. This establishes the cable pattern on the back of the hand (across 30 sts), and plain stockinette stitch (across 26 sts) on the palm of the hand. (56 sts total.)
Next 3 rounds: work even, continuing in pattern as established in previous round, working Main Chart pattern for row b, then Row 1, then Row 2.
From this point forward the Main Chart repeats over 16 rows.
At this point, follow instructions for Right or Left Mitt.

Hi
I am taking a knitting class on knitting my first adult sweater. I have chosen to knit your Basic Black. I wonder if you could answer a question for me. In the stitch instructions you have directions for “SSP” but I can’t find this anywhere in the directions. Can you explain where I use this direction.
Thanks. Can’t wait to start.
Karen
I would like to learn how to SSP also I am making a pair of two needle slippers & this is in the pattern anxious to make them for the Grandchldren
I love your So Simple Silk Garden Socks, but the PDF file doesn’t seem to have the pattern attached. Will you be putting this up or will I have to think and worry and try and cry about this until I come up with a pattern that would NEVER equal the beauty of the one you have already knitted. Just let me know so that I can commence the crying now. I’ll think later.
Thanks.
Jo
Hello, I in the beginning of your SO SIMPLE SILK GARDEN socks. I just made my first cable and they look great. This is probably a stupid question but……
After the first cable progression the pattern states to:
“repeat the last 7 rounds…..”
Please tell me which rounds. Do you mean all the way back to the K1, P1 at the beginning, at the top of the page, then doing the next rounds which is repeated 6 times, continuing with the next round which has the cable work? I counted back 7 rounds and that would be it. Unless I am thinking too hard and not understanding what you mean.
I hope I made my question clear. Thank you. Denise

i’m working on the toe of the first So Simple Silk Garden sock, became desperately frustrated when I realized I had an uneven number on Needle 2. Ripped all the way back before I realized it starts with an uneven number! Clearly it needs to end with an even number; do I k2tog in the middle of the first round of N2 to reduce that to an even number?
Thank you,
I am farely new to knitting, I have only knitting for about two years off and on. Is there anyone out there that can give me any pointers.
Hi, I purchased the Stage Door Cardigan pattern on Ravelry in October 2010. I just started knitting it and noticed there is a mistake on the shoulder decreases where the total number of stitches left (72 stitches on the first size that I am knitting) does not match the decreseases made on the shoulder (where there should be 60 stitches according to the instructions. i.e. there are 12 stitches missing). I never received an update or an errata notice even though it says higher up that “armhole decreases and shoulder shaping have been updated. This is up to date on Ravelry and Patternfish files”. Could you please help me? This is a nice cardigan and I am enjoying knitting it, I just need to know where the adjustment is — thank you in advance.
Manon
Hi! I just noticed that the Union Station Beret pattern might have an error. You say to cast on 96 stitches, and then execute the 16 stitch chart 9 times. 96 stitches only allows for 6 pattern repeats. Sadly, I did not notice this until I was almost finished…
Should it say to cast on 144, or perhaps there is an increase row I missed?
Hi Glenna. I bought Royale when you re-released it with the new shaping, etc. this past spring. Can I assume that that version renders these errata unnecessary?
Hi Laura Sue
Thanks for asking! Yes, the new updated version can be assumed to be clear of the v1 errata, it has been freshly tech edited as well.
